Remodelling Works St Oswald's C of E Primary School, Merseyside

About project

Type:  Refurbishment & New Build

Value:  £705k

Completion: 2010

Remodelling works to St Oswald’s C of E Primary School was completed in August 2010 and involved carrying out internal refurbishments and alteration works to the existing school building. The works also involved a two storey extension to the rear of the building to provide new classrooms and a first floor extension to the front of the building to provide a new library and teaching resource areas.

The practice acted as lead consultants on the scheme and provided a full range of services with the team acting as designers, project managers, contract administrator and CDM co-ordinator.

Ensuring the safety of pupils, staff and visitors to the school was of paramount importance during the construction phase. As the remodelling works had to be done whilst the building remained in use, our project managers strategically planned each individual building phase to ensure that the project not only progressed on schedule but complied with health and safety legislation.
